Our horizontal crusher is purpose-built for high-density rigid polymers including PVC, PE (HDPE/MDPE), PP, ABS, and POM. It is specifically calibrated for long extrusion scrap such as water/gas pipes, window profiles, siding, and building panels that would typically require upstream cross-cutting.

Standard blades are forged from SKD-11 (D2 equivalent) high-carbon alloy steel, hardened to 58-62 HRC. Depending on the abrasive nature of your PVC formulation (e.g., calcium carbonate filler levels), blades typically run 300-500 hours before requiring a fresh edge. Blades can be repeatedly dry-ground up to 6-8 times.

The extended horizontal chute is positioned tangentially to the cutting circle. This geometry, combined with the V-cut rotor's aggressive inward grabbing motion, ensures long pipes are naturally self-drawn into the cutting chamber at a controlled rate, eliminating bounce-back and bridging.

Yes. The machine features a drop-down screen cradle for rapid changeovers. We supply standard heavy-duty screens with hole diameters from 12mm to 40mm. Output size directly influences throughput capacity; a 16mm screen is typical for direct feed into PVC pulverizers or washing lines.

This is determined by the specific model's feed opening and rotor biting arc. Our entry SWP-560 series handles pipes up to Ø250mm, while the heavy-duty SWP-1000 can directly ingest rigid pressure pipes up to Ø630mm. Wall thickness (SDR rating) must also be factored into model selection.
