Plastic recycling is an essential part of our efforts to preserve the environment. Among the various methods, the PP PE film shredding and densifying line stands out as a revolutionary trend. This innovative technology transforms dirty bales of PP/PE films into densified products, ready for chemical application or conversion into plastic granules via pelletizing.

El principio de funcionamiento

The process begins with a shredder, designed to break down compacted bales of plastic films. As these bales are shredded, they drop onto a conveyor belt, ready for the next stage.

Next, the shredded material enters a wet granulator or crusher. Here, the material is cut into small flakes, facilitated by heavy-duty knives spinning at high speeds. A screen controls the size of the flakes, ensuring they are small enough for the subsequent densifying process.

The flakes then move to a sink/float tank, a large water tank that cleans, wets, and removes contamination simultaneously. As the flakes move along the tank, propelled by large rotating paddles, the plastic film floats on top while contaminants sink to the bottom.

The final and most crucial step is the squeezer. Here, the clean plastic film is densified into irregular pellets using a large screw and heaters. This process dramatically increases the density of the finished product to approximately 350-410 kg/m3.

Especificaciones técnicas

The densified material after the squeezer is around 50 mm long. If this is too large, an additional granulator can be added at the end of the process to reduce its size further.
