Correctly identifying the plastic type is therefore one of the most important steps in any recycling operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The numbers commonly found on plastic products\u2014from <strong>1 to 7<\/strong>\u2014are known as <strong>Resin Identification Codes (RICs)<\/strong>.
